Program 00 - All About Conestoga Podcasts
I plan to record ‘an about our podcasts’, but for now here is the written version. First off, if you are new to podcasting, read Wikipedia’s entry on podcasting and it will tell you more than ever wanted to know about the subject.
The link at the top is our RSS podcast feed. Use it to subscribe to our programs.
We are creating a series of podcasts about Conestoga, past, present and future. In addition to bringing you interviews with some guests, we are going to share with what goes into making our convention work. Science fiction conventions are unique in that they bring the fans into contact with the creators of their favorite works, the artists and the authors. We will also be recording interviews and possibly some panels at the convention as well.
I want to thank the lovely and talented Elspeth Bloodgood, for being our interviewer, a special thank you to Paul Fischer of Balticon Podcast for inspiring me with the idea of doing convention podcasts. Concasts? I also want to thank Paul for his technical advice for helping me to set our own up. I also want to thank authors Tee Morris and Evo Terra for their book Podcasting for Dummies. Their book has helped fill in the last little fiddly bits to help us put it all together.
Thanks,
Chris Merle
